Thousands have joined on Facebook in support of
saving Pouch Camp; hundreds have already signed the petition online.
Now, let's join together in a rally and march in support of saving
Pouch Camp!
More details on this event will be coming soon, but save the date.
We will start in front of Susan Wagner High School, located at 1200
Manor Road in Staten Island.
An official announcement on this rally will be made on December 5th
and a meeting with volunteers and organizers Alex Zablocki and
Brandon Linker, both Eagle Scouts, will be held the evening of
December 8th.
TOGETHER we can save Pouch Camp and this rally will prove to the
officials that can make this happen that we are united and ready to
work with all interested parties in seeing that Pouch Camp does not
get sold to a developer. We join with the Greater New York City
Council and the Boy Scouts of America in calling for the funding of
a conservation easement to protect this land, and our camp, from
future development.
If you would like to help make signs and be part of the organizing
team, please send a message.
